Sorry to be a bit late in posting this one today, but I've spent the past couple of days celebrating (1) my wife's birthday and (2) Mothers Day. So perhaps it's fitting that I offer a present to you as well - or sixteen presents, even better. They're the sixteen short stories contained in Beware of the Trains, by Edmund Crispin, one of my favorite authors, and fourteen of the sixteen stories feature Oxford University Professor Gervase Fen, often aiding his (not always very bright) friend, Inspector Humbleby. It's the book that is the subject of today's audio review on the Classic Mysteries podcast.
Rather than duplicate effort, if you'd like more information about the sixteen stories in Beware of the Trains, please listen to the complete podcast review, which will give you brief descriptions of each story. Things should be back to what passes for normal here later in the week. If you've never read Crispin, this is a fine way to meet him.
