The Wolfe Pack, the society of fans of Rex Stout and his detectives, Nero Wolfe and Archie Goodwin, have announced the winners of the group's top book awards for 2018.
The Black Orchid Novella Award, which is presented in conjunction with Alfred Hitchcock Mystery Magazine, was awarded this year to Mark Bruce for "Minerva James and the Goddess of Justice." The novella will be published in AHMM next summer.
Honorable mention went to runners up:
- "Angling for Justice," by Jennifer Jones
- "Spring Fever," by Jean-Pierce Forget
- "Monday's Mirage," by Gabriel Valjan
The Nero Award this year was presented to Stephen Mack Jones for his first PI novel, August Snow.
The awards were presented at the 40th Wolfe Pack Dinner, which was held in New York City this past Saturday evening, December 1, 2018.
