The organizers of the Deadly Ink mystery conference, planned for the weekend of June 16 through June 18 in Rockaway, New Jersey, have announced the program for the conference. There will be panel discussions on a variety of topics of interest both to mystery writers and to their fans, along with the "Desserts to Die For" party Friday night and the annual banquet on Saturday, where the David Award will be presented. I see that the desserts party apparently will have a special theme this year: "TSTL - When a character is Too Stupid to Live." I can think of a LOT of mystery protagonists who might fall into that category...
For those of you living in, or visiting, the New York City metro area, let me recommend Deadly Ink to you - especially if you're a mystery fan or author who has never attended a conference of like-minded souls and is wondering if you'd enjoy it and it would be worth it. Deadly Ink is usually pretty small - about 100 total attendees, including a fair number of authors among the fan guests - quite low key and very friendly. It's a good place to relax, unwind, and meet with like-minded readers and authors. Full details on their website. I'd love to see you there.
