Deadly Ink, the mystery conference held each summer in New Jersey, has announced the slate of nominees for the David Award, presented for the best mystery published in 2016. This year's nominees include:
- BLONDE ICE by R. G. Belsky
- WRITTEN OFF by E. J. Copperman
- DEATH OF A TOY SOLDIER by Barbara Early
- SECONDS TO LIVE by Melinda Leigh
- YOM KILLER by Ilene Schneider
Congratulations to all the nominees. The winner will be announced at the group's annual conference and banquet held this year on Junw 17.
If you live in the NY metro area, have never attended a mystery conference, and wonder what one's like (and if you'll enjoy it), I heartily recommend trying Deadly Ink's conference as a great way to get your feet wet. It's pretty small (100 or so people, including many mystery authors) and extremely friendly, with a nice, compact schedule and special events. Check out their website for more info!
