Heartfelt (and overdue) thanks to two bloggers today. First, to J. Kingston Pierce at The Rap Sheet blog, who - this past Friday - was kind enough to post my guest review of Ngaio Marsh's "Death of a Peer," one of my favorite and most-often-reread books. If you don't make The Rap Sheet a regular stop, you should - the bloggers there cover all kinds of mysteries and provide a great deal of news and information about what's going on in the world of mystery fiction.
Second, a very deep bow to Jen Forbus, who has been doing some amazing things at Jen's Book Thoughts, including the delightful "Detectives Around the World" week, which introduced readers - myself included - to a lot of fascinating detectives and their authors. Jen also came up with the "World's Favorite Detective" contest and should be posting the winner of that remarkable affair later today.
There are a lot of people writing about mysteries on the web - authors, reviewers and fans. If you want to expand your own mystery horizons, you'll find these two blogs are excellent starting points.
Thanks for the shout-out, Les. And thanks, also, for that terrific post about "Death of a Peer." Your work is welcome in The Rap Sheet anytime.
Cheers,
Jeff
