The Mystery Writers of America has released this year's list of Edgar nominees. There are a great many nominees in a great many categories; you can find the full list here. The awards will be presented at the annual Edgar banquet in New York City on May 2, 2013. Congratulations to all the nominees!
Though I haven't read any of the nominees - yet - this list looks better than last year's list. At least this year I've heard of most of the writers and am even a big fan of one: Ace Atkins.
I bookmarked the page because I noticed several books I will definitely be reading.

I must admit I haven't read them, Yvette. I'm less than thrilled by the nominations in the Best Critical/Biographical category - I think there were really good books published in that category that have been completely (and wrongfully) ignored: Curt Evans's new book on the "humdrums"; the Dannay and Lee letters; Christie's non-fiction account of her "Grand Tour." Yet another analysis of Raymond Chandler? Whatever...
