Thanks for visiting this blog. I hope you like what you see here and will return often. If you are so moved, "Classic Mysteries" has been entered (full disclosure: by me) in the competition for the Independent Book Bloggers Award. It's connected with Book Expo America in June, and the winner gets a trip there - in my case, that's just across the river to New York, but hey.
I think you have to be registered with Goodreads in order to vote (free, takes next to no time, find some good reading suggestions), and there are a LOT of competitors - only a dozen in the mysteries and thrillers niche, but a few hundred in adult fiction overall. Still, if you are so inclined, please click on the "vote" box at the top of the left hand column of this page.
General voting is open until midnight Monday night, April 23, after which the top fifteen vote-getters will be finalists in a round judged by industry insiders. If you choose to vote for me, thank you. If not, you're still a valued and welcome guest, and I hope you enjoy your visits here.
Congratulations, Les. A very well-deserved nomination. I will definitely vote. :) Oh how I wish I had the necessary stamina to tackle BookExpo one more time. It's SO much fun.

Thanks, Yvette. And "fun" doesn't even begin to describe BookExpo - it's an amazing experience. I mean, given the troubled state of most publishers these days, who would ever expect such an enormous display of books, not to mention gatherings of authors, advanced reading copies, autographs...wow. My wife and I are both going this year - she for her children's authors, me for my mysteries. Can't wait.

I've been to Book Expo three times and each time I had a blast. I hope you're going to take plenty of pix and for once feel free to post them on your blog!! :)
